PROVIDING AID TO VICTIMS OF CRIME, THOSE WITH DISABILITIES, MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN DURING COVID

In spite of the COVID challenges, OCW2W was able to provide $27,200.00 of in kind donations thanks to the support of our community.  The OCW2W mission became even more important during the pandemic. The amazing support and generosity of our OCW2W network had a greater impact than ever before. We provided hope in the form of food grants, clothing and food drives, and holiday gifts for local women and families struggling with trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse in our support of Grandma's House of Hope. Learn more about our efforts and events HERE. Social distancing limited our meeting capabilities but the need for help was stronger than ever.

In 2021 OCW2W began supporting the efforts of Women Helping Women (WHW).  Trina Fleming, CEO of WHW, recently thanked us for our efforts "As our job seekers continue to navigate the current evolving employment landscape, contributions like yours provide a critical element to their success."

NURTURING CAREER DEVELOPMENT

OC Women2Women donated $30,000.00 to Working Wardrobes for Employment Training and Career Development.  Our clothing drives provided 330 women with professional interview and work attire, empowering them with confidence.

OC Women2Women donations help provide workforce readiness services in an atmosphere of dignity that enhances the lives of those seeing to become self-sufficient. These efforts help participants achieve sustainability - with integrity..

GIVING HOPE TO WOMEN

OC Women2Women's Mission " To inspire, empower, and invest in the lives of under-served women" aligns with the efforts of HOPE International to invest in the dreams of families in under-served communities. OC Women2Women donated $30,000 to HOPE International and funded over 2,841 Micro-Loans of HOPE through for the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Congo, the Ukraine and  India.  Micro-loans support OCW2W efforts to provide a hand-up, not a hand-out.  Read their TESTIMONIAL.

When OCW2W was initially formed, we included international efforts.  In 2016 we turned our focus towards women in our own local community.
