The Annual OCW2W Christmas Walk is always a festive event filled with friendship, good food, and sharing with those in need.
This year we will host a Toy Drive to benefit the children residing at the Mariposa Women & Family Center counseling center where women and families can address the challenges that keep them from leading productive, fulfilling, and healthy lives.
Registration for this event will open on November 13th.
Diane Dixon, Newport Beach Mayor, kicked off our Lunch Club event with a moving and motivational discussion regarding how to stay relevant as a woman in today's world. She noted the value of being genuinely concerned and passionate about our own personal value and what we can contribute each day. She encouraged woman to be committed, have courage, and always be creative in all undertakings. Ms. Dixon's words inspired members, generating many private conversations with her after the luncheon.
Working Wardrobes CEO, Jerri Rosen, personally greeted guests who brought professional clothing donations and voiced her appreciation. These donations help Working Wardrobes transform their clients and prepare them for the workforce.
Whoops and hollers could be heard as several lucky guests won the raffles for RED O Restaurant and Marmi's shoes. We want to thank both of them for their ongoing support and donations.
Guests at the May 15th OC Women2Women Lunch Club event enjoyed meeting other like-minded women as they came together to assemble 100 personal gift bags for women in need. Attendees had the opportunity to BE THE CHANGE in a woman’s life simply by stuffing gift bags filled with items for the residents of WISEPlace, Colette's Children's Home and Human Options, the non-profit OC Women2Women has selected to support in 2019, as they provide a safe-haven for abused women.
Human Options is dedicated to ignite social change by leading collective county-wide responses in service of those affected by abuse. OC Women2Women’s current fundraising efforts will make a direct impact by providing 200 privacy window coverings to help offer a safe, comforting environment for those seeking refuge and support.
We are happy to announce that our Career Clothing Drive at the recent Lunch Club event brought in enough clothing for approximately 100 women. Working Wardrobes representatives were thrilled with the overwhelming response. Our generous event guests enjoyed the mini-fashion show with Chico's and Marmi shoes breaking out their spring designs, providing creative ideas to update their wardrobes.
OC Women2Women received a Thank-You note from Working Wardrobes directly after the event, explaining:
"For our clients, an article of clothing represents so much more. It represents hope. It represents a brighter future. It represents transformation. It represents a new outlook on life, confidence, self-esteem, and self-sufficiency. It represents a job."

OCW2W managed to find the good in the world and share it with those in need during the holiday season. The festive Balboa Island Christmas lights set the tone for this annual OCW2W gathering. The group celebrated the holiday season while supporting female veterans and their children. Everyone enjoyed fabulous food, greeting old friends and making new ones, while surrounded by the dazzling Balboa Christmas lights.
In celebration of the season of giving, guests donated unwrapped gifts for children and/or gift cards for female veterans. This annual event is a perfect example of what OC Women2Women stands for: inspiring, empowering, and investing in the lives of under-served women in Orange County.
The October 10th OCW2W Lunch Club event was an entertaining day of food, friends and fashion for a great cause.
